J-groups

14 05 2007

If you were at eXchange on Sunday, you heard Scot talk about righteousness and how we can use Life Journaling as a way to communicate with and hear from God in our own lives as we pursue righteous decisions. One of the first righteous decisions you can make is to join the eXchange community in journaling in small groups over the summer. This is a great avenue for pursuing personal Community, personal Christ, and personal Cause over the summer months. Check out the J-groups and see what will be a good fit for you:Women’s Groups:Amber Gentry (amberg@mccth.org) - Thurs, 6:45 AM,Jeannette Souder (jtsouder@iupui.edu) - Sat, 7:30 AM, June 2-16,Amanda Lennen (alennen@yahoo.com) - Tuesday, 7:00 PM,Jessica Bush (jessicalbush@gmail.com) - Wednesday, 7:00 AM. Join His cause!

8 05 2007

14th and Chestnut Community Center could really use some volunteers to help out over the next several weeks.  They need help in the kitchen on weekdays from 3:30-6:00 through June 1st.

Starting June 11 they will need people for lunches starting around 10:30 or 11:00 am until 1:30pm.  Call the center at 812.232.3126.  Also, they could use people to work with the kids from 3-6:00 pm daily until June 1st.  So if you want to spend a few hours with a young friend, tutoring, playing games, or having a fun conversation, this is the place for you!

Help Nate the Intern

1 05 2007

Nate Youngblood has been greatest Exchange intern in our 10 year history. He has also been our first intern, but that’s another matter.

Nate has been working for us since the beginning of the year, and except for getting the occasional meal or Cafe’ Mocha paid for, he has received zero compensation.  So……. this Sunday (May 6) we will take up a special offering for Nate.  Let’s chip in and show Nate how much we appreciate and believe in him by throwing a few bucks his way.  He will be leaving us in a few weeks and will start grad school in the fall.

See ya Sunday!!
