On Sunday August 12th we will be hosting Kevin Rolly’s “Tributes for Kings” art exhibit. This is an amazing exhibit featuring 15 pieces depicting the Stations of the Cross (the story of the crucifixion of Christ). The paintings are a unique combination of photography and oil color. I was deeply moved when I first viewed this exhibit in Lousville, KY. This exhibit has been featured on the Lifetime Channel and has toured around the United States.
The service will be a little different on that Sunday as we will be spending a significant amount of time contemplating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, it’s reality, and what it means to us.
On Wednesday August 29th we will have a public viewing from 6-9pm. We encourage you to bring friends and family. This is a great opportunity to show Maryland Community Church’s commitment to the arts, and our community. The visual impact of these images will be an impression hard to shake. Don’t miss this great opportunity.

Ok you saw what ArtReach did with the mega retro flannel graph last week right? Well this Sunday Scot will be talking about Jonah and a big fish. What’s it like in the belly of a big fish? Come see ArtReach’s interpretation of this classic bible story a la flannel! It will be a special treat for those of you willing to skip the Colts game.
If you are interested in checking out ArtReach join us this Wednesday from 6-8pm at Maryland Community Church in the Choir room.

It’s about 8′ft long and 6ft tall. The board will be used thsi Sunday at eXchange and Scot will be preaching on Noah. This is part of the sermon series Sunday School Spectacular where Scot will be diggin up some of the bible stories that we learned as children.
